Say what you want about hipsters, but they got one thing right…the bicycle.
Detroit has never fully embraced the idea of a modern-day mass transit system. Detroiters feel as though it's their inalienable right to putter along over pot-holed roads, choking the atmosphere with carbon emissions. To their credit, hipsters have fully embraced the simplicity and eco-friendly attributes of riding a bicycle through metro Detroit. This has created a contagious atmosphere that has prompted new excitement for those wanting to get back up on a bike.
To that I say hats off.
