I took this photograph in Oakwood Heights, a tired old neighborhood resting on the border of Detroit and River Rouge.
The neighborhood is all but gone now, falling victim to the Marathon Oil Refineries "cleansing" of this long established neighborhood, that carries with it the notoriety of being the most polluted zip code in all of Michigan.
On this particular day, the friends and family of a 96 year old woman named Anenia, were loading her belongings onto a moving truck. Family members paraded up the ramp, bringing with them a variety of earthly possessions that told the story of a life lived. This 1960's style radio had never seen the light of day; still in it's original box, on its way to a new home.
